Chuck Williams is a lifelong resident of Georgia and was born and raised in the 119th State House District.  He is a product of the Oconee County School System, graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and obtained a degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Georgia.  After graduating, Williams began a 34 year career in agribusiness, economic development, banking and finance.  He has experience in rural and agribusiness-related economic development, and possesses an in-depth understanding of how the public sector and the private sector each contribute to positive job growth and creation.  Williams has met a payroll, hired employees, and understands the challenges of running a business during tough economic times.      

Williams is deeply involved in our community.  He has served as a member of the Watkinsville City Council, Chairman of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce, and Chairman of the Oconee County Industrial Development Authority.  He has also served as President of the Georgia FFA Alumni Association, President of the UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Alumni Association, Chairman of the Georgia Bankers Association, and Executive Committee member of the Georgia Forestry Association. In 2005, Williams was selected as the GFA's Tree Farmer of the Year.    was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to the Board of the Georgia Forestry Commission in 2010. Williams has been a Rotarian since 1994, and believes deeply in the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self”. 
In the House, Williams serves on the Higher Education, National Resources and the Environment, Children and Youth and Information and Audits Committees. 

He and his wife Beth live on a farm in Oconee County.  They attend Antioch Christian Church.
